Principal Barry Charley is a native of St. Matthews, SC. He was in the first graduating class of Calhoun County High School (1983). He received a B.S. Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina, Columbia; Master of Education Degree in Counselor in Education and Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from South Carolina State University. Mr. Charley has 30 years of experience in education. He has worked in Calhoun County Public Schools early in his career before going to Orangeburg School Districts 5 and 4 and Jasper County. He returned to Calhoun County Public Schools in July 2007 and served as an assistant principal for 3 years at Calhoun County High and 7 years as principal at St. Matthews K-8 before being named principal of Calhoun County High School in 2017. He is currently the Director of Felton Laboratory Charter School.
